My grandmother was a sister to Hazel´s father, Lee. I was very young, but do (just barely) remember meeting her when she lived (briefly) in Marion, VA.
Hazel´s extraordinary spirit and her unusual career live on in our family stories and the love of horses continues to live in her relatives several generations later.
Bet she is still kicking up her heels!

To The Family
My heart goes out to you. It's so sad to loose a loved one, it brings heartache and pain that seems to never stop. It's comforting to know that Almighty God knows and feels your pain. That is why he has given us his words to comfort us. Psalm 34:18 assures us,"He is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." He is the "God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3) Soon our hearts will be free of pain, because Jesus promise at John 5:28,29 that there will be a "resurrection". This gives us hope of being reunited with our love ones, right here on earth. Until that time God tells us at Psalm 55:22 "Throw your burden upon him and he WILL sustain YOU." May your memories of Hazel along with prayer help you through the days ahead.
My Deepest Sympathy

Wasn't she just cute as a bug! What a delightful-sounding woman she was! She lived to a wonderful age and enjoyed her work. Couldn't ask for much more than that!
Soar with the angels dear lady!

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I live in Wisconsin and came across the obiturary for Mrs Warp on the internet. She sure had a fascinating life. I bet she was a lot of fun to be around. I'm sure she will be deeply missed by her family. You have my sincere sympathy. May she rest in peace in that great horse ranch in the sky doing what she loved.
