Heather Ann Bodden, age 41, of Yankton, South Dakota, died on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
A memorial gathering where the family will receive friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton. A celebration of her life will also take place at a later date.
Heather was born on July 11, 1983 in Yankton, South Dakota to Ronnie Bodden and Pat (Nielsen) Taber. She grew up in Yankton where she attended school. Heather attended Job Corp in Nemo, SD where she studied computers and cooking, obtaining her GED. Heather lived most of her life in Yankton and throughout the years, she worked at Casey’s General Store, Angelhaus Assisted Living, Pump ‘n Stuff, and Café Brule.
Heather loved going camping and spending time at the lake. She also enjoyed going out for dinner. Heather loved going to the pool and swimming with her daughter, Lilly. She loved the time she was able to spend with her and Lilly was her pride and joy.
Heather is survived by her daughter, Lilly Bodden of Yankton; mother, Pat (Sherman Sr.) Taber of Yankton; father, Ron Bodden (Amy Bush) of Scotland, SD; and siblings: Brittny Bodden (fiancé, Delaney Rowe) of Scotland, Ronnie Bodden Jr. of Scotland, Timothy Bodden of Scotland, Vanessa (Scott) Miller of Yankton, Racheal (Jerry) Jundt of Rapid City, SD, Sherman Jr. (Kristyn) Taber of Pipestone, MN, and Alesha Taber of Rapid City; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Marlene Bodden; maternal grandparents, Hans and Lorraine Nielsen; and aunt, Sharon Amell.
