Heather is survived by her grandmother, Leona Eagle Heart; children, Hayven Waters, Kenna Waters, Hailey Waters, and Kylen Red Feather; fiancé, Zachary Mardis; brothers, Francis (Hesakwin) Red Feather, Emery Red Feather III, Edward Red Feather, Emerson Red Feather, Elmer White Face, Robert White Face, and Cornell White Face; sister, Elmarie White Face; aunt, Marjorie (John) Sanchez; uncles, Quincy Red Feather and Roger (Marlita) Running Bear; sister-in-law, Marnie Waters & Family; nieces, Ayla Walker, Lacie Torres, Lucille Red Feather, Amelia Shot-Red Feather, Nevaeh Locke, and Fannie Holy Rock; nephews, Atreus Walker, Armondo Sanchez, and Alfonso (Rose) Pawnee Leggins; cousins, Mary Torres, Carrie Sanchez, Jessica Sanchez, Lucy Red Feather, Jennifer (Mitchell) Long, Oliver Red Feather, Marjorie Red Feather, and John (Georgia) Red Feather; and special friends, Candy & Dave Rottering & Family.
Heather was preceded in death by her parents, Emery Red Feather, Jr. and Wilda Black Bear; sister, Kandra Red Feather; paternal grandparents, Emery Red Feather, Sr. and Lucy Jealous of Him; aunts, Delvina Red Feather, Rita Running Bear, and Theresa Black Bear; and uncles, Patrick Red Feather and Timothy Red Feather.
Pallbearers will be Zach Mardis, Jeremy Mardis, William "Bill" Short Horn, Corey Short Horn, Cornell White Face, Alfonso Pawnee Leggins, Jessica Sanchez, Rose Waters, Fannie Holy Rock, Erica Ghost, and Vanessa "Bessie" Ghost.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
Wake Services: Two night wake services starting at 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at St. Julia's Episcopal Church in Porcupine, SD.
Funeral Services: 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at St. Julia's Episcopal Church in Porcupine, SD
Officiating: Pastor Jeremy Mouw
Traditional Lakota Services: Quincy Red Feather and Darla Black
Burial Services: Porcupine Presbyterian Cemetery, Porcupine, SD
