Heather Marie Vaars, passing on August 13, 2025 in Calhan, Colorado, was a vibrant and caring mother, daughter, and friend. Born on April 16, 1982, in Grass Valley, California, she was raised by her parents, Tony and Roseanna, whose love and support shaped her into the extraordinary woman she became. Heather was dedicated to her job in cyber security; she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues with her hard work and eloquence.
A proud veteran, Heather dedicated 15 years to serving in the United States Air Force. Stationed in Japan, Germany, California, and Colorado, she built long-lasting relationships and found her love of travelling. Heather was committed and had a strong sense of duty, values she carried in every aspect of her life.
Beyond her career and her service, Heather was a remarkable friend. She was able to light up a room with her laughter; her fun-loving nature and remarkable sense of humor made her the life of the party. She inspired many with the way she was able to bring people together, creating lasting memories filled with joy and unity.
A loving mother, Heather raised her child, Luca, who was the light of her life. Heather was their hero, giving them love and support; she was always there for her kid. Heather is also survived by her parents, Tony and Roseanna, and her siblings, Michael, Michelle, Eddie, Aaron, Levi, Katy, Jay, Tucker, and Brittany. She heavily valued family and created long lasting memories that will forever be remembered and cherished.
Though preceded in death by her father Benjamin and mother Deborah, Heather's legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends. As we remember Heather Marie Vaars, we celebrate her life as a dedicated veteran who made a positive impact on many people's lives; some people shine too brightly to ever be forgotten, and Heather was the sun.
