Heather M. Whyde

Heather's life began on May 5, 1975 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Robert Till Owens and Dolly Gitchell Ritter. She had been employed by Georgie Boy RV in Edwardsburg. Heather's family includes her mother Dolly Ritter of Dowagiac, her children Huston Owens of Dowagiac, and Katelyn Whyde of South Bend, siblings Jerri Hunter, Samantha Brigham, Cory Roddy, Tracy Roddy, and Lisa Roddy, all of Dowagiac, Laura Owens of Mayfield, KY, Paula Fitts of Clinton, KY, Patrick, Tyrone, Charles, and Jerome Owens, all of Mayfield, KY, Grandmothers Marie Thompson and Roxie Kelly, both of Dowagiac, aunts and uncles Dorothy Yaw of Kalamazoo, Chester Ruminer, Bill Ruminer, and Frank Gitchell, all of Dowagiac, Alice Sanders, Sandra Kelly, and Patricia White, all of Dowagiac, her fiance James Branscom and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Heather passed away on Thursday September 17, 2009. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Till Owens. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11a.m. led by Pastor Tonnie Blackamore.
