Edinburg ~ Hector Chapa Adame, 85, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center of Edinburg, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, March 6, 1940, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of the late Francisco Chapa Treviño and Liboria Adame Garza.

Hector is survived by his beloved spouse, Ana Chapa Villarreal. He was a resident of Edinburg, Texas. Hector found great joy in working outdoors and took pride in caring for his ranch, El Rancho El Lobo. He cherished the peaceful moments spent among his animals and treasured every opportunity to be with his family. Whether tending to the land or laboring in the fields, Hector embraced each day with dedication and love.

He is survived by his children: Francisco Noe Chapa, Hector Adrian Chapa, Jesus Salvador Chapa, Israel Chapa, Olga Lidia Chapa, Santos Chapa, and Ana Maria Chapa; and his siblings: Francisco Chapa Adame, Natalia Chapa, and Isabel Chapa.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Hector Adrian Chapa, Jhoan Chapa, Julio Chapa, Noe Chapa, Mariana, Ana Karina, Hector, Edgardo Chapa, Israel Jr. Chapa, Dulce, Christopher Chapa, Yesenia Vargas, Juan Vargas, Olg Harris, Alex, Alan, Mia Chapa, Christian Estrada, Jenny Estrada, Josue Estrada, Emmanuel Estrada, and Caleb Estrada; and his great-grandchildren: Samantha, Saul, Santiago, Jordan, Adrian, Jayden Chapa, Julio Emiliano Chapa, Averlee Vargas, Atticus Vargas, Ivanna Ortiz, and Luka Ortiz. He will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, LLC, 1813 N. Conway Ave., Mission. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Rivera Funeral Home, LLC in Mission. Interment will follow at 11:00 am to Santa Fe Celestial Gardens Cemetery, 5050 3 Mile Line Rd., Mission, Texas.

Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home, LLC of Mission.
