Hector Benjamin Sanchez was born on April 29, 1976 in Mexico. He passed away on June 22, 2025 at Ascencion St. Vincent Hospital in Middleburg, FL.

Hector spent his childhood years in Mexico where he completed elementary and middle school. He then moved to Altadena, California to live with his mother, Lucila Medina, stepfather, David Owens and his youngest brother, Sal. He attended John Muir High School in Altadena and earned his Associate of Arts degree from Pasadena City College. He worked for the Hertz Corporation while he was attending school to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems at Cal State University Northridge. He moved to Florida in 2014 where he found a job, bought a house and created a happy life for himself and his daughter, Jasmine. Hector was a kind, hardworking and respectful young man who persisted to reach his dreams of learning to work with computers. He persevered until he found a position doing what he liked to do. Another one of his dreams was to travel and he traveled to different places in the U.S., Mexico and Europe while visiting friends and relatives. He planned a cruise to Alaska just before his illness and passing. Hector enjoyed every day of the past seven years with his daughter, Jasmine, who was always by his side. He was most recently employed by Intercontinental Exchange.

Family members preceding Hector in death were his father, Hector Sanchez; paternal grandparents, Hector Sanchez and Eloisa Ramirez and his maternal grandmother, Francisca Campos.

Hector is survived by his daughter, Jasmine; mother, Lucila Medina; stepfather, David Owens; brothers- Daniel Sanchez, Salvador Becerra and Victor Sanchez; sister, Carlotta Sanchez; nephew, Leonardo Sanchez; nieces, Stephanie Becerra and Azul Sanchez and a host of other relatives and friends.
