Helen Theresa Aistrup

Hanston - Helen Theresa Aistrup, 95, passed away September 13, 2025 at Hodgeman County Health Center, ISB, Jetmore, Kansas.

She was born July 10, 1930 in Dodge City; the daughter of James Daniel and Helen (Quealy) Gleason. A lifetime area resident; she worked alongside her husband on the family farm for many years. Then in 1975 she began working at the Hanston State Bank until she retired in 2007.

She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hanston and the Daughters of Isabella.

On October 16, 1950 she married Duane Marvin "Bud" Aistrup at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hodgeman County. He passed away May 14, 1993.

Survivors include; three sons, Dan Aistrup, Dodge City, Emmett (Susan) Aistrup, Hanston and Paul (Susan) Aistrup, Larned; a daughter, Cynthia (Lynn) Goebel, Jetmore; three sister-in-laws, Carolyn Gleason, Spearville, Toni Aistrup, Spearville and Dorothy Aistrup, Dodge City; a Son-in-law, Steve Burke, Jetmore; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; her husband, Duane M. "Bud" Aistrup; her daughter, Linda Burke; her parents, a grandson, Chad Aistrup; two sisters, Alice Marie Burkhart and Catherine Hattrup, and four brothers, Thomas Gleason, James R. Gleason, Maurice F. Gleason and Marvin Gleason.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father John Forkuoh presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2025 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Vigil Service and Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Hanston. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanston.
