Margaret Gonglewski
January 26, 2024
I'm so sorry to learn this sad news. Helen was a good friend of my mother (Blanche Gonglewski), and for many years she felt like part of our family, because she joined us for holidays, celebratory meals, trips to Philadelphia to see my sister perform in playsk and other family events. After my mother's passing, Helen and I stayed in touch, mostly through postcards or letters. As a German teacher, I have always been grateful to her for her openness (and eagerness!) to talk about her life experience in Germany. She was passionate about making sure that people knew the horrors of that time. She was a dear person and I was lucky to know her! My heartfelt condolences go out to her family.
