Mom, it's been almost a year since you left us, and not a day goes by that I don't think about you. A year of holidays and celebrations that always included you have now passed, and I missed you on every occasion. I know that time heals these wounds to a point, but I will always miss you, and the loss is still very fresh now. I sometimes look at that corner of the couch in my living room where you like to sit and watch the Cowboys or the Longhorns and cheer, or the room where you lived in my house, and imagine you there. Then I try to change that vision and imagine you with dad, no longer feeling the difficulties of illness or age, but feeling happiness and love instead. This is my wish for you. I love you and miss you.

Treasured our friendship at St. Mark over the years when she would 'pop in' for a visit from time to time. Wonderful lady.
