Helen Marguerite Terry Breeden, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was born on July 24, 1939, to the late Thomas Guilford and Elizabeth Katherine Terry.
Helen spent many years working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for others with compassion and dedication. She truly loved caring for people.
Her greatest joy was her family. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Outside of her family, Helen could often be found sitting in her rocking chair on her front porch, watching the buses go by. She also loved playing the piano and was very talented at it.
She is survived by her children, Olen Bennett and his wife, Alisa and their children, Alice Bennett Morris and her children, Darrell Breeden and his wife, Nioka and their children, Deborah Bennett and her children, Kimberly Bennett and her children and her husband, David Leary, Olenia Bennett and her children; the late Cynthia Breeden's son whom was her caregiver along with his wife; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Ronnie Terry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Olen Bennett, Sr.; her second husband, John Breeden; her daughter, Cynthia Breeden; her brothers, Donald and Harold Terry; and her sisters, Susie Sheffer and Lorraine Glen.
There will be no services at this time.
