Helen Buco

Helen (Merambelis) Buco died peacefully at Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence RI on March 15, 2024 at the age of 97. She was the daughter of the late Sophia (Gianpolou) Merambelis & Mathew Merambelis. She was pre-deceased by her late sisters Anne Dillion, Catherine Paolino and Mary Coderre.
Helen worked for many years as a Hostess at the RI Country Club in Barrington, RI as well as part-time caterer for many members affiliated within the Club. She was a graduate of The Sawyer School of Business as well as Real Estate School and received her Real Estate License in 1972 and Appraisal License in 1980. She later opened her own Real Estate Company naming it Helene Realty on Maple Avenue in Barrington, RI. Helen was a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Pawtucket, RI. She occasionally went ballroom dancing and loved her weekend yard sales with her sister
Mary. Helen was a vibrant and loving person who enjoyed conversation amongst strangers as well as family. She was loved by many and made friends easily, and will be missed by all. She was married to the late Arthur Buco for 35 years and is survived by her daughter, Susan Cunningham & husband John and his children Sean Cunningham & Kerri Dickinson and her husband Eric. Helen also has a grandson Matthew Campagnone & his wife Kay along with 3 great grandchildren, Natalie Campagnone, Jackson Byron & Henry Dickinson.
Visitation will be on Friday March 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Ave Riverside, RI 02915 followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 Am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery Nayatt Road, Barrington RI 02806 at 11:45 AM. The family has asked to "Please Omit Flowers".
