Helen "Beth" Elizabeth Chapman, age 42, of Columbiana, AL, and formerly Duluth, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.W. and Mary Chapman and Elber and Rilla Mae Higgins; aunts, Barbara Kurz, Patricia Reichert; and uncle, Ronal Higgins. She is survived by her parents, David and Robin Chapman of Blairsville, GA; brother, Chris and Caitlin Rostek Chapman of Commerce, GA; beloved fiancé, Jason Dewald of Columbiana, AL; aunts and uncles, Marty and Lynn Chapman of Dacula, GA, Tom and Carrie Kurz of Charleston, SC, Bobby and Toni Chapman of Hoschton, GA, Pam Higgins of Baldwin, GA, Ron and Elaine Lee of Glendale, AZ, Eddie and Cathie Higgins of Buford, GA, Paul Reichert of Marietta, GA and numerous cousins. Ms. Chapman was born on July 19, 1982 in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Collins Hill High School in 2000. Beth worked for NCR for 17 years until recently relocating to Alabama. She had a love for plants and the great outdoors and spent much of her free time with her precious friends, Mel Rowland and Ginger Adams on hiking and camping trips. Beth's loves included her precious animals. Her rescue of some years back of Lucy and later came Hushpuppy, who was by her side always. A private family Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or an animal rescue close to your heart, in memory of Beth Chapman.
