Helen Lundy Cox, age 81, of Stanford, KY, formerly of Bell County, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Grant and Gracie Cupp Lundy on January 27, 1944, in Hances Creek, KY.

Helen was a longtime member of Monarch Church of God, Middlesboro, KY. For many years she was a popular cook for several local restaurants. Her ability to prepare delicious meals, especially for her family, is one of the legacies she leaves behind. Helen also enjoyed nurturing the flowers she cultivated around her home, which revealed a true green thumb. Her humble spirit and kind nature along with her limitless capacity to love made her a true treasure to those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Angel Bennett and sister, Ruby Baker.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ramona Jane Ballard (Robert), Jennifer Williams (Rollie), and Jeff Cox (Beverly); grandchildren, Sarah Ballard, Matthew Ballard, Joney Williams Denny, Ethan Williams, Kelsey Long, Emily Paver, Caleb Williams, Alyssa Cox, Delaney Williams, and Kolton Cox; ten great-grandchildren, with another on the way; one great-great-grandchild, with another on the way, as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family of Helen Cox will receive friends on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Gilbert presiding.  Music will be provided by D. J. Wilder.  

Interment for Helen Cox will be private.
