Helen Cox

Helen Juanita Cox was born June 9, 1932 in Hermleigh, Texas. She was the only child of Christine and Jesse Warwick. Growing up during The Depression gave Helen the understanding of the simplicities of life. Her parents followed the harvesting seasons which lead them to settle in Oregon.
Helen met the love of her life, Lyle E. Cox outside the State Movie Theater in Oregon City and were married in 1951. She spent her time in life raising her children and taking care of her various pets, even working in a pet store to fill her free time. Along with her pets, Helen found enjoyment in gardening, cooking, and needlepoint. As her children left the home and grandchildren lit up her life, they even helped to raise some of them. As her family, we are blessed to have learned some of those qualities to continue to pass on her legacy.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle and her grandson Michael, and is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen, Carol, and Christine, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous great great-grandchildren. Though Helen is no longer with us, the impact of her life continues in the stories we share and the love we carry forward.
