Helen Marie Cuevas, born December 27, 1949, of Pass Christian passed away on February 4, 2026, in Bay Saint Louis, MS. surrounded by her loved ones.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Horace Cuevas Jr.; parents, Louis and Vera Niolet; siblings, Louis Niolet Jr. and Barbara Cuevas; and granddaughter, Jenny Henderson.
She is survived by her children, Pam (Rodney) Ladner, Kirk (Brandi) Cuevas, Jennifer (David) Henderson, Stephanie Cuevas, Byron Cuevas and Travis (Yvette) Cuevas; grandchildren, Brittney (Desmond) Cuevas, Bethany (Tracy) Ladner, Tyler (Rachel) Henderson, Zachary Henderson, Kaitlyn Cuevas, Trevor Cuevas, Tanner Cuevas, Haley Haulk, Craig Herring, Sceria Herring, Savanda Herring, Byron Cuevas Jr., Brianna Cuevas, and Bryson Cuevas; great grandchildren, Haley (Michael) Marie, Brooklynn Cuevas, Braleigh Cuevas, Avery Cuevas, Jaycee Ladner, Zayden Ladner, Taytum Ladner, Zayne Cuevas, Kyleigh Henderson, Addie Cuevas, Autumn Cuevas, Aaron Cuevas and Karsyn Herring; great-great grandchild, Laken Marie; god children, Timmy and Tommy Cuevas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nothing meant more to Helen than her family. She was employed at Dixie White House for 15 years, where she truly enjoyed her work and was devoted to caring for others. After retiring, Helen quickly earned the nickname “Road Runner,” as she was always on the go. Easygoing and free-spirited, she rarely had a plan but always had a mission to visit and spend time with her loved ones throughout the day. Helen was a warm and loving soul who will be deeply and dearly missed by all.
The ones to help lay her to rest will be Travis Cuevas, David Henderson, Desmond Cuevas, Tracy Ladner, Trevor Cuevas, Zachary Henderson and Zayden Ladner.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff at Dunbar Village and Vital Care Hospice for being so kind and compassionate during the final days.
Services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Refuge Baptist Church, 5755 Rocky Hill Dedeaux Rd. Kiln, MS 39556. Funeral service to follow with interment at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
