Helen "Deanie" Crouch Dinkle, 92 of Moneta, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 at Autumn Care of Altavista. She was born on Wednesday, August 2, 1933 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Sidney Lawrence Crouch and Vaughnie Morgan Crouch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Thurston Dinkle, Sr., 3 brothers, 1 sister, her granddaughter, Tina Price & 1 great great grandson.

Deanie was a longtime dairy farmer. Until the age of 85 she was helping out at the barn. She had many talents, she was a seamstress & quilter, she enjoyed working Sudoku, crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles - the more pieces the better. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, J. T. Dinkle (Linda), Glenn Dinkle; four daughters, Helen Dellis (Shirrell), Kathy Price (Jerry), Marcia Mason (Lendale), Elaine Nichols (Walter); a brother, Robert Seymour Crouch; a sister, Gaybrella Dellis; 14 grandchildren, Melissa Nelson (Kevin), Shanna Dinkle, Tonya Bates (Jason), Amy Arney (Scott), Tammy Goode (Jamie), Travis Dinkle (Amanda), Eric Dinkle, Lisa Dinkle, Jessica Reynolds (Brandon), Andrea Criner (Ben), Samantha Stover (Allen), Chris Nichols (Tori), Sabrina Perkins (Chris), 24 great grandchildren with another on the way, 6 great great great grandchildren with another on the way.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Palestine Baptist Church, 9244 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston, VA 24104, Moneta Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 497, Moneta, VA 24121 or Moneta Fire Department, 12737 N. Old Moneta Road, Moneta, VA 24121.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Palestine Baptist Church with Sam Williams and Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 15, 2025, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
