Helen R. Ekvall

Clinton-Helen R. (Dembroski) Ekvall, 79, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Wheeler; five grandchildren, Nova Taylor-Wheeler, Angela Wheeler, Richard Wheeler III, Adam Wheeler, and Sarah Nelson; great-grandchildren: Daniel, Gabriel, Hannah, Lilly, Michael, and Bridget. She leaves her brother Stephen Dembroski & wife Paula, generations of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband Robert Ekvall, her daughter Janet Lee, and sister Nancy Sweeney.
Daughter of the late Stephen & Rita (Paradis) Dembroski, Helen was raised in Spencer and was a graduate of David Prouty High School. In addition to raising her family, she spent her professional career as an assembler with ECC Corp. in Holden, ProtoTechnology in Clinton, and Candela Medical in Wayland, from where she ultimately retired. Among her many hobbies and interests, Helen enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and was talented in knitting, crochet, and embroidery. She always looked forward to visiting her friends at Foxwoods and was happiest in the company of her family. Private burial will be held at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester under the direction of the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
