Helen Embree Obituary

Helen Sue Embree, 85, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on June 9, 2025, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover, MO. She was born on July 17, 1939, in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Marion and Woodrow Belsha, who preceded her in death.

On February 14, 1974, in Smithton MO, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Embree, who preceded her in death.

Helen is survived by two sons, Michael Hancock (Deana), and Douglas Hancock (Naomi); four step-children, Phillip Embree, James Embree, Ben Embree, and Gail Moore; one brother, Tommy Belsha; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

A family graveside will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

I always enjoyed working with Sue at Waterloo, she was a good friend and a lovely person to talk with at lunch and break. She had a lovely smile and was a very hard worker. My sympathy goes out to her family, I know she loved them dearly.
