Age 88, fondly nicknamed "Hon", died peacefully as she wanted at home under the loving care of her children and their spouses and grandchildren and their spouses on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Wife of the late William Faust, Sr. Mother of Diane (Paul) Dadowski, June (Ron) Esser, William (Stacy) Faust Jr., and Patrick (Maria) Faust. Daughter of the late Otto and Helen Matschner. Sister of James Matschner and the late Richard (Debbie) Matschner. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitations Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Boron Funeral Home, Inc., 1719 Brownsville Road. Funeral Prayers on Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery at 10:00 AM. Helen was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan from an early age, cheering from Forbes Field to Three Rivers Stadium to PNC Park. She always commented that she wished that the "Ball girl" job was available when she was young. Helen was a dedicated swimmer from an early age, swimming competitively in winter or summer, she always found a pool. Employed by Bell Telephone and the Pittsburgh Board of Education. Helen was an advocate for the underdog and proud member of Union AFSCME Council # 13. She stated that she would miss out seeing all of her great grandchildren grow up.
