Helen Louise Foster, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born in Americus, Indiana on November 4,1932. Helen lived a life centered on faith, family, and simple joys.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Helen was happiest at home caring for her loved ones. She was a wonderful cook, and her famous butterscotch pie will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to enjoy it. Helen also had a playful spirit-she loved her weekly euchre games on Tuesdays, never missed a chance to play bingo, and cherished the laughter and friendships those gatherings brought.

Helen gave her time generously as a longtime volunteer "Pink Lady" at the hospital, offering kindness and comfort to others. She spent her life as a stay-at-home mom, where her true vocation was raising her children and pouring love into her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Robert Foster; her parents, Versia R. Giles and Alfred Cunningham; and siblings Dale Cunningham, Jack Cunningham, Gene Cunningham, Cecil Banghart, Phyllis Haller, and Robert Cunningham.

Helen leaves behind her son, James Foster (Cathy) of Lafayette; daughter, Teresa Bouwkamp (Robert) of Lafayette; grandchildren, Stacey Neff (Patrick), Michael Bouwkamp, and Jason Bouwkamp; and great-grandchildren Charlotte, Bowen, and Collins Neff. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Marjorie Schmuki of Centennial, Colorado, and Harriette Anderson of Watseka, Illinois.

A private family ceremony and entombment will be held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens 1718 W. 350 N. West Lafayette IN 47906.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette Christian Reformed Church.

Helen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the joy she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
