My heart goes out to you during this time of your loss. I discovered Ms. Frankenthaler's bench in Central Park near the Reservoir some years ago and sat there this morning to meditate and connect with her artistic energy. It was only after returning home that I learned of her passing. She gave the world such beauty.

I had the honor of meeting Ms. Frankenthaler at Rothko Chapel Feb. 4 1993 and subsequently in New York in 2002 and she remembered the t-shirt I sent to her in late 1993. Along with being a great artisit, she was a wonderful person.

My sincere condolences to the Frankenthaler family for their loss. What an amazing woman Helen was. So talented that she stirred up artists everywhere with her techniques and awed the public with her large abstract paintings. Quite a feet for a female artists in a “man's world”, breaking that glass ceiling for all of us. She has inspired my art work profoundly and will be greatly missed.

What a nice tribute to a woman who taught us quit a bit about art. The world does marvel at her strength and longevity. The Bible calls it "Special Mightiness". As time goes by remember God is "Healing the brokenhearted and binding up their painful spots."(Psals 147:3)
