Mrs. Helen Freeman, age 94 of Clarksville, TN, formerly of Paris, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at McEvoy Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Melissa Worthey of First Presbyterian Church in Paris. Burial will follow services in Palestine Cemetery. Named as Pallbearers are Scott Herman, Tim Mitchell, Jerry Casteel, Danny Freeman, Cleve Guin, and Mike Baker; and Honorary Pallbearer, Tommy Harding.
Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, after 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
Helen Frances Williams Freeman was born on June 5, 1931 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Roy Portor Williams and the late Virginia Frances Cowen Williams. She married Roy Freeman on June 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2013. Helen is survived by her son, James Roy "Jim" Freeman of Clarksville; grandchildren, Amanda (Tim) Mitchell of Stewart County, TN and Jason (Joanne) Freeman of Clarksville; by four great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Luckinbill of Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law, Shelby Freeman of Paris, Anne Speight of South Fulton, and Alicia Williams of Nashville; brothers-in-law, Danny (Sherry) Freeman and Jerry Casteel, all of Paris.
Besides her parents and husband, Helen is also preceded in death by her sons Steven Blake Freeman and John Michael Freeman, who died in infancy; sisters, Dorothy Pounds, Joanne Baker, Nancy Greer, and Betty Casteel; and by brothers, Fred Nolen Williams and John R. Williams.
Mrs. Freeman was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Paris where she was a member of the Presbyterian Women and the Marthas. Helen enjoyed traveling and visited almost every state in the U.S. She worked and retired from Holley Carburetor, formerly of Paris.
