Helen’s life journey was filled with deep connections and nurturing relationships. She was the beloved wife of Ted Governal Sr., with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and love. Together, they built a family that reflected her values of compassion and togetherness. Helen was the proud mother of Kim Roberts and four sons, Ted Jr., Todd, Greg, and Brian Governal. Each of her children carried a piece of her vibrant spirit, embodying the qualities that she cherished and instilled in them throughout their lives.
She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Don Mirth and Ruthie Eldridge, who will remember her as a source of strength and comfort. Helen's bond with her family extended beyond the living; she was predeceased by her cherished brothers Al, Rudy, Frank, Bill Mirth, and her sister Irene Westbrook, who remain fondly in her family's memories.
Despite facing the challenges of late-stage Parkinson’s disease, Helen remained a symbol of resilience and grace. Her laughter could light up a room, and her caring nature made everyone feel welcomed and valued. Family and friends are invited to honor Helen’s memory at the Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation will take place on September 27, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a memorial service from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and another visitation until 8:00 PM.
