Helen L. Griffith

Helen L. Griffith, age 84, of Wellston, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born October 4, 1932 in Glenroy, Ohio to the late William Roy Trace and Hattie D. Barlow Trace. Helen was a loving homemaker who was also a former health care provider at Edgewood Manor of Wellston. She attended The Old Country Church and she had this one testimony, that she pleased The Lord. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Daniel Allen Griffith; children, Robin Lynn Justice (Levi) of McArthur, Neal G. Griffith (Debbie) of Coalton, William A. "Bill" Griffith of Wellston and Phil A. Griffith (Dianna) of Wellston; brother, Leroy Trace of Wellston; sister, Mary Ellen Buffington of Columbus; grandchildren, Jacob, Amber, Luke, Meagan, Ryan, Billy, Jennilyn, Jessica and Rachel, as well as 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sons, Mark Allen Griffith and Daniel Edward "Danny" Griffith; and sisters, Betty Ruth Perry and Grace Ann Simpson. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Dwight A. Tilley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
