Helen Jean Gross

Helen Jean Gross, 83, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI.
She was born on April 9, 1942 in Flint, MI, the daughter of John and Mary (Bradford) Walsh. Helen was a Fenton High School graduate. She married Fred Gross in 1963 in Washington, D.C.
Helen was formerly employed by Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company in Columbia City, IN as a Secretary. She attended Rock Valley Chapel in Beloit, WI. Helen enjoyed attending church, golfing, baking, knitting, Christian music, Agatha Christie novels, and leading bible study. Most of all, Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Fred Gross; son, William "Bill" (Dawn) Gross; two daughters, Candice "#1" (Chris) Harris and Stephanie "#2" (Steve) Savage; grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Hatch, Shannon Hatch, Christopher (Bridget) Gross, Jeniffer Gross, Jordon (Kimberly) Harris, and Evan Savage; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, John "Jack" (Pat) Walsh; sister, Rebecca Cooney; sisters-in-law, Vicki Pratt and Betty Affeldt; several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Robert Affeldt, Alan Affeldt, and William "Billy" Affeldt; one sister, Marilyn Pender; brothers-in-law, Bill Pender, Dale Cooney, and Larry Pratt.
A Celebration of Life for Helen will be held on Saturday, December 13th at Rock Valley Chapel, 2780 Shopiere Rd., Beloit, WI. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon following. Come early, get a good seat, and stay for food & fellowship!
Know that our hope is sure! Helen knew Jesus and she is in His presence. We will cherish our earthly memories with our mom, grandma, wife, sister, and friend, and we look forward to the ultimate of family reunions. To God be the glory!
