Helen P. Henning

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Helen P. Henning, age 85, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and spent her final years residing in Houston, Texas. She brought with her the warmth and spirit of her Irish sense of humor wherever she went.
She was the heart of our family, a beacon of unconditional love, and a source of endless wisdom. Her laughter, quick wit, and strong spirit brought joy to every room she entered. She was the embodiment of kindness, always putting others before herself and nurturing her family with love.
Helen is survived by children, Joanne Connolly of Pinehurst, Jim Christie and wife, Mary of Cypress, Valerie Martin and husband, Michael of Houston, Vanessa Rendon and husband, Rene of Houston; grandchildren, Sean Connolly of Pinehurst, Mark Connolly of Pinehurst, Racheal Sharpless and husband, Kenny of Cypress, Danny Christie and wife, Melissa of Hockley, James Henning and wife, Sarah of Houston, Thomas Maynard and wife, Francie of Houston, Marcello Rendon of Houston, Helena Rendon of Houston; great-grandchildren, Kayla Morris, Addyson and Remington Henning, Thomas Maynard, Whitley and Alexander Christie; brothers, Patrick O'Sullivan and wife, Joanie of Foxborro, MA, Kevin O'Sullivan of Foxboro, MA, Joe O'Sullivan and wife, Joanne of Magnolia, Dennis O'Sullivan of Foxboro, MA, Danny O'Sullivan of wife, Gail of Valparaiso, Indiana; numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Henning; parents, Patrick and Helena O'Sullivan, sisters, Mary Ellen O'Sullivan, Anna R. Duffy, Patricia Conroy, Delia Oberfall; brothers, Benjamin B. O'Sullivan, John J. O'Sullivan, Terrance F. O'Sullivan, Paul A. O'Sullivan.
Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in all of us. We will miss her dearly but are grateful for the time we had with her and the countless ways she touched our lives. May she rest in peace, reunited with those who went before her, and may her soul find eternal rest in the arms of the angels.
Funeral mass for Helen P. Henning will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Rd, Houston, TX 77065. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery, Lovelady, TX 75851.
