Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother. and sister passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side. She was 84.
Helen was born September 20, 1941, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Alexander Morin and Anna Fournier Leske. She married Larry Irish, who predeceased her. Helen enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including shopping, selecting home décor, playing games and cards, going out to dinner, dressing up, and looking bougie.
She is survived by her four children: Ron E. (Lynne) Dishaw, Theresa (Mike) Krzywosinski, Shelley (Pat) Strope, and Kevin L. Luce; grandchildren Tina Foxx, Crystal Raymaker, Heather Hillman, Lisa Marker, Michelle Hall, Patrick Strope II, and Amber Duckett; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Agnes (Ronald) Wlock.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Morin and Anna Fournier Leske; one son, John S. Dishaw; great-granddaughter Madisyn Warju; and siblings Ernie (Lill) Morin and Millie (Richard) Barry.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice. Helen's nurse Jackie, social worker Jennifer, aide Brittany, and Chaplin Doug were all so very helpful and appreciated.
Helen's warmth, style, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew her. Helen will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Prayer Service for Helen will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 4:30 PM at Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706. Pastor Doug Bassett will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:30 PM.
Helen will go back to her home in Georgia, where she had resided for over 30 years, to be buried with her husband Larry Irish at Shiloh Methodist Cemetery in Covington, Georgia, at 11 o'clock, Monday, October 27, 2025. J.C. Harwell and Son has been entrusted with these arrangements.
