Helen Kirschbaum Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - Brookfield on Feb. 14, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Helen Rose Kirschbaum (nee Bauer) announce her passing on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 67, following a courageous battle with MS and cancer.
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Bill; mother, Elisabeth, children, Matthew and Krista (Phillip); grandsons, Jackson and Silas; brother, Pete (Julie), brother-in-law, Keith (Patty), as well as many other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Helen is preceded in death by her father, Martin.
Helen was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after her parents came to the U.S. from Austria to start a better life. She grew up in a loving family that taught her the value of hard work, which led to a 30+ year career with the phone company. Within that time, she started dating Bill when he was playing in a band. They fell in love and got married in 1981 and started a family of their own, which became the center of her world.
Anyone who met Helen will tell you that she was such a happy and positive person. Despite the many challenges that life threw her way, she would find a way to persevere. Her strength and generosity were characteristics of hers that many admired. She enjoyed traveling, seeing Broadway shows and concerts, cheering on her Brewers, going out to eat, and taking long drives. However, Helen valued her friends and family above all else. She especially enjoyed becoming a grandma and spending time playing with, spoiling, and supporting her two grandsons who meant everything to her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive Brookfield, Wisconsin. Service to follow.
In remembrance of Helen's life, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, any charitable donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
