Helen Louise Lake, 93, wife of Danning D. Lake of Scotia, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Teresian House Center for the Elderly, Albany, NY.
Born November 24, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joe Sr. and Virginia Bishop.
Mrs. Lake attended Bryant High School in Queens, NY, and then worked as a switchboard operator for the NY Telephone Company. She later worked as an aide for St. Clare’s Hospital and Baptist Retirement Center as well as a waitress for Flavorland.
She is survived by her husband Danning Lake, of 54 years, her son, Stafford Branch of Saranac Lake NY, daughters Carrie Gardner of Smyrna, DE, and Victoria Lake of Scotia, NY; granddaughters Emily Branch, Holly Jarman and Lynsea Hensel; grandsons Sean Gardner and Gavin Lizor and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Joe Bishop Jr. and nephew, Brian.
Friends and Family are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 10:00 am - 11:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY, 12205. After a brief service at 11:00am, interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery,Schuylerville, NY.
