Helen Phillips Luallen, born on July 8, 1946, in Robbins, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 2, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the age of 79. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for those around her.
Helen was the beloved daughter of Jay and Reba Foster. Raised in a close-knit family, she learned the values of compassion and generosity early in life. These values would shape her into the incredible woman that so many came to admire and love. With a nurturing spirit, she dedicated her life to caring for others, always putting their needs before her own.
In her later years, Helen found deep love and companionship in her marriage to Richard Luallen. Their bond was one of mutual respect and affection, a partnership that enriched their lives and the lives of their family. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, creating countless memories that will forever be cherished.
She was committed to her community, always seeking ways to give back and help those less fortunate. Her giving heart and selfless nature were evident in everything she did, whether it was volunteering or simply lending a listening ear to a friend in need.
Helen had a passion for life that was infectious. She found joy in simple pleasures-gardening, thrifting, and exploring local flea markets. Her love for cooking brought family and friends together around the dinner table, where she shared not just meals but stories, laughter, and warmth. Most importantly, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating a legacy of love that will continue to flourish in their hearts.
Helen's life was a testament to the power of kindness. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special and valued, always ready with an encouraging word or a comforting embrace. Her infectious smile and genuine warmth will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Reba Foster; Brothers, Dean Foster and James Robert Foster; and a baby sister, Pauline Foster.
