Helen was born on June 28, 1932, in Macon, the daughter of Charles and Flora Johanna Cathrina (Ostertag) Binder. Helen was united in marriage to John A. Pagett on June 24, 1951 in Macon. Helen enjoyed cooking, working in the nursing field, flowers, hummingbirds, and had a passion for bowling where she had received a 50-year bowling pin three years ago.
Helen is survived by her four children, Leonard Pagett and his significant other Carletta, Rosina Leathers and her husband Danny, Hubert Pagett and significant other Judy, and Virginia Lucas all of Macon, MO; grandchildren, Domenico Pagett (Tracy), Stephen John Shoush (Tosha), Chris Leathers (Shelby), Zachary Pagett, Jeremiah Compton (Lex Bee), Clint Cross (Amanda), Crystal Cross, Nicholas Pagett (Katlynn), Caleb Pagett (Jesel), Kerry Castle (Matt), Michael Lucas, and Ashleigh Petre (Chris); several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John A. Pagett on May 22, 2001; ten brothers; one sister; and one daughter, Susan Watts.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with her grandson Pastor Caleb Pagett officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, southeast of Macon. Visitation will be Thursday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
