Helen Marie (Cudmore) Roach, age 64, of Westwood, MA, died peacefully on July 17, 2023, surrounded by her husband of forty-two years William "Bill" and her two children Teresa and Thomas “Tom”. Helen was born and raised in Boston, MA to the late Arthur and Geraldine Cudmore. Helen developed her interest in science and math at an early age and took her talents to the Hematology Lab at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute where she worked for 25 plus years as a medical technologist. She met her soulmate, Bill, in 1977, and they lived in Milton, MA, Quincy, MA, and then finally settled in Westwood, MA, where they raised their two children with lots of love. Helen enjoyed gardening, photography, and long walks. Neighbors would often remark how beautiful the flowers in her garden were each spring when the tulips would bloom. Helen and Bill would frequently travel to Newport, RI or downtown Boston, so Helen could take beautiful black and white photos. Helen is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Teresa and her husband Forrest, her son Tom and his partner Anya, her sisters Lorraine Johanson, Patricia (Al) Lodi, her brother Paul (Trish) Cudmore, sisters – in law Grace (James) Mulligan, Andrea (John) Norton, brothers – in law Thom Roach, Michael (Francine) Roach, Chris (Kim) Roach and many, many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Simply, put Helen was the best and we loved her so much.

Dear Helen is kind, loving, thoughtful, sincere. She made such an impact on our family over the years by caring and making connections with all of us, especially her many nieces and nephews who loved her so much. Helen's spirit will live on through our daily acts of love and kindness she so readily displayed to those with whom she came in contact.
