Helen Anne Rohrl

Helen Anne Smith Rohrl, age 80, of Newnan, passed away on September 1, 2024. She was born in Washington, D.C. on July 8, 1944, to the late Robert Charles Smith and Mary Frances Heit Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John F. Rohrl and her brother, Robert Smith.
She loved her family, but the light of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an RN who spent many years working in the Operating Room at South Fulton Hospital. She also enjoyed hosting legendary parties, playing bridge, tennis, her book club, and traveling.
Helen is survived by her children, Joseph Rohrl (Lesley), and Cathy Farr (Lloyd); grandchildren, Katie Mauldin (Jacob), and Brendon Dodson (Rachelmae); great-grandchildren, Harrison Mauldin, Jonathan Mauldin, and Charlotte Mauldin; sister, Maureen Long; and many other extended family and friends.
