Helen Rorig

Helen is my grandmother. She treated me with unconditional love since as long as I can remember. She patiently taught me how to read before I started kindergarten. To hear so many of her former students' praise of her teaching skills and personality brings me a lot of joy.

Mrs. Rorig was one of the best teachers I ever had. I had homeroom with her for four years, but really got to know her when I had her for Rhetoric in 1988. She really taught me how to improve my writing, which helped when I went to college later that year.

Who could forget Helen for her intelligence & charm? It was my pleasure to teach with her at Niles North High School.

Mrs. Rorig quite simply taught me how to write. She was kind, compassionate and simply a wonderful educator.

Mrs. Rorig was the best literature teacher I know. Her kindness, love of literature and passion for teaching are fresh in my memory from Spring of 1972., and an inspiration in my teaching. My deepest condolences, Mark Treger

Mrs. Rorig was one of the best teachers I had the pleasure of being taught by. On our Niles North Facebook page there are many tributes to her. She made an impact on many. So sorry for your loss.
