Helen Margaret Scott
93, of Romeo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Wellbridge of Romeo.
She was born July 27, 1928, in Royal Oak, the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Nieman.
Helen led a full and happy life. She worked at Ford Motor Company for many years as a seamstress. She enjoyed raising her family and spending time in Atlanta, MI with her husband Chuck, where they eventually retired in 1989. Helen has a zest for life and enjoyed many activities throughout the years including bowling, fishing, swimming in her healing river, hunting, softball, bingo, casino trips, and planting flowers, especially lilacs as they were her favorite. She spoiled her cats and loved spending Christmas with family making her mother's special cookie recipes. Her sense of humor was a light in many peoples lives and her legacy will live on through the many memories she has left for them.
She is survived by her two daughters, Grace Rudy and JoAnna (Jim) Lacy; step-children, Gayla (Joe) Piscunere and Dale (Marie) Scott; grandchildren, Ed, Christy, Shannie, Marcy, Regina, and DJ; as well as many other extended beloved family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Scott, her parents, her brothers, Bud and Bill Nieman and her sister, Grace Rickard.
At this time there are no services scheduled for Helen. Cremation arrangements were provided by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
Memorials are suggested to Helen's family for an organization of their choice.
