Helen and I shared a career full of similar experiences, which pale in comparison to the list of people that stand out and above. I´m fortunate to have worked with Helen for the last few years, we spent many hours chatting about everything from work to, hiking, her hat collection, bathroom reno´s and much more. I feel blessed to have known her for the short time I did and wish all that loved her peace and my sympathy for their loss.

Helen was so kind and friendly, she willed be missed by all. So sorry that we missed her services. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Though our words can do little, hope that our thoughts and prayers will support you at this time.

Helen was the consummate capital markets professional when we worked together at Continental Bank in Chicago. I was always impressed with her effortless balance of grit and grace, and her clients always seemed to appreciate that. When I later found out that her husband was Mike Shannon, I knew right away she was destined for sainthood! Just crushing to hear it would come so soon.

Peace be with you Mike and all of the siblings and family that completed her beautiful life. She always provided mentoring and much encouragement to many when the wheels came off our trucks. Her discipline of following through with what was right and just inspires me in many ways. She sure had wonderful taste in handbags. Be assured that my 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet will be offered for her today. It is a joy to know her journey continues with Mary, Joseph and Jesus :-) Love, Cathleen

I've been blessed to both work with Helen as well as consider her a good friend for the past several years. She was a breath of fresh air and could always be counted on for a kind word and smile. Helen is also one of the best, if not THE best, bond salesperson I ever met and clients will attest to that. Her love of life was evident in the way she spoke of her husband Mike and one could always sense the love they shared for each other. To Michael and her many friends:
May you be free from danger.
May you have mental happiness.
May you have physical happiness.
May you live in peace and loving-kindness.
Those who took the time to know her were rewarded by a kind and generous person who made all of our lives better . God bless and watch over you!
