Helen Timko Obituary
Helen (Eichinger) Timko, 92, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 13, 1932 in Trenton, NJ, to the late John and Cecilia (Fischer) Eichinger.
Helen was a graduate of both Cathedral High School and Saint Francis School of Nursing. She worked her entire career as a registered nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center until the age of 78.
Helen was an avid reader, and she could often be found scoping out a Saturday morning garage sale, vacationing with her family on LBI or taking a Star Bus Tour. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and was part of the Breakfast Club with her daughter and granddaughter. Helen was also a parishioner at St. Gregory the Great and was a Friendship Club Member.
Above everything, she was an amazing mother to her 4 children and Oma to her 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Helen is predeceased by Joseph Timko and her brother, Joseph Eichinger. She is survived by her children, Mary and Scott Gornall of Doylestown, PA, Joseph and Sylvia Timko of Columbia, MO, Christopher Timko of Trenton, NJ, and Cecelia and Steven Martin of Mercerville, NJ; her grandchildren, Matthew, Ishmael (Taylor) Timko, Noah, Eleazar, Brandon, Kelsey (Nicholas) Hoffmann and Nolan; her great-grandchildren, Lyla, Olivia, Nicholas Jr. and Heleni, as well as many extended family and friends.
Services for Helen will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's honor can be made to the Trenton Rescue Mission by visiting In Memory Of at inmemoryof.org.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

I worked with Helen in the 1980´s in the Psych Unit. as a RN. She was such a caring and wonderful nurse that everyone respected. I still have recipes that she wrote out for me that I make to this day. When I read that she worked well into her 70´s, I was not surprised. She was very dedicated to her profession. My sincere condolences to her family.
