Helen P. Vallejos, aged 82, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, surrounded by love in Vaughn, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband Benny Vallejos, sons: Michael Vallejos, Remijio Vallejos, parents, brother, and sisters.

Helen is survived by her son Frank Vallejos of Los Lunas, NM; daughters: Adella Mora (Gerald) of Vaughn, NM, Eligia Quinonez (Mark) of Vaughn, NM, RoseAnn Vallejos (Antonio) of Los Lunas, NM; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Born into the vibrant culture of Albuquerque on May 7, 1943, Helen carried the warmth and spirit of her community throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A beacon of love and kindness, Helen's presence was a source of comfort and joy to her family and friends. Helen's life was a melodic journey, underscored by her love for Christian music. It was not uncommon to find her humming along to her favorite hymns and gospel tunes, with a smile that could light up the room.

A woman of simple pleasures, Helen found delight in the comfort of a well-made meatloaf paired with creamy mashed potatoes, or the sweet, familiar taste of an uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Her fondness for Panda Express was well-known, as it was her chosen spot for countless family meals and celebrations; a place where memories were made and laughter was shared.

Above all, Helen's most cherished accomplishment was her family. She took immense pride in raising her children, guiding them through life's challenges and basking in their accomplishments as they grew into successful adults, found love, and started families of their own. Her role as a provider, mother, and grandmother was one she held dear, infusing every action with boundless love and unwavering support. The legacy of her nurturing spirit will live on through the generations she so lovingly influenced. Helen's home was a treasure trove of memories, each object a testament to a life rich with relationships and experiences. She held on to everything gifted to her, as each item carried a narrative of sentimental value that she cherished deeply. Her ability to see the extraordinary in the ordinary made her company something to be treasured, a reminder of the beauty in the world around us.

Those who knew Helen would unanimously describe her as loving, kind, and selfless. Her patience was a comfort to many, a steady presence in an ever-changing world. Helen's legacy is not measured by material possessions or accolades, but by the immeasurable impact of her generous spirit and the love she bestowed upon her family and friends. Helen’s Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 11:30am. Helen will be laid to rest following the Service at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery located at 2957 Arenal Rd SW, 87121. T he family would like to invite everyone to share a meal and memories of Helen inside Salazar Mortuary Event Center after the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Mora, Jr., Edward Quinonez, Jr., Joseph Vallejos, Moises Garcia, Mathew Quiroz, and Aaron Nelson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
