Helene M. Palumbo, 95, of Rotterdam passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday February 5, 2026. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Gallo) Delafano.
She was employed for many years as a bank teller for the former Mohawk National Bank in Schenectady. Helene was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
Helene is predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Palumbo and one sister Marie Palumbo.
She is survived by her two sons David Palumbo and Mark Palumbo, one sister Elizabeth Maddalone (Michael) as well as her grandchildren- Jessica, Joseph, Sam (Rachel), and two great grandchildren Aerianna, Levi and Allie Mae and beloved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Helene’s life will be on Saturday February 14, 2026 at 11:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be from 10-11:30am prior.
Burial will be in the spring in St. Cyril’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Community Hospice.
