Helga Stemich

In the sweet embrace of memories gone by, we celebrate the life of Helga Stemich, known affectionately to many as the "Fancy Lady." Born on January 30, 1941, Helga was a radiant beacon of hard work, all things creative and dedication to friends and family. Her sparkling spirit took its final bow with her granddaughter Kirstyn by her side on October 30, 2025, leaving a legacy of joy and inspiration behind.
Helga was not just any woman; she was a symphony of vibrant tapestry, richly woven with spirited adventures around the world and lovingly cultivated an enormous network of long time friends and family around the globe. Her glamorous presence was a testament to her zest for life and she made sure to elevate memories for everyone by decorating for every special occasion and holiday. She leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories for friends and family.
The special bond "Omi" shared with her granddaughter Kirstyn and grandson Peter was one of pure, immeasurable love, a true testament to her unwavering commitment to family.
Helga also felt blessed to have an extended family to enjoy the later years of life with along side her beloved previously departed husband Ludger Stemich. The intertwining threads of their love and shared experiences will continue to weave a comforting blanket of memories.
Daughter Manya, Son Mark and family would like to extend their sincerest and heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Vista Pointe Lake Havasu for their compassion and care during Helga's final journey.
As we remember Helga, we are reminded of the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Helga Stemich, our Fancy Lady, made us all feel loved, and for that, she will remain forever in our hearts.
Over the next few weeks as Helga makes one final road trip back to Canada with daughter Manya, please share your cherished memories and upload photos to her memorial page.
