Henrietta Marguirtte (Haag) Braatz, age 88, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025.
A memorial funeral service will be held at Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie, MN, on December 27, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Reception will follow at the church. Burial will be in Litchfield at the Lake Ripley Cemetery.
Henrietta was born on September 16, 1937, in Litchfield, Minnesota. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Walter and Mrs. Louise (Putzier) Haag. Henrietta was raised on the farm and attended District #68, rural school. She then graduated from Litchfield High School.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Anderson, and they were blessed with a daughter, Kathy. She and Jerry would later divorce. Henrietta was then married to Glenn Braatz. Together, they traveled the United States as truck drivers for several years.
After their divorce, she moved to Minneapolis, where she began a career in Banking and Investments. She worked for the Fauver Company in Eden Prairie, MN, and in 1985 was transferred to Longmont, Colorado, with the Fauver Company. She then attended Barnes Business School in Denver, CO, and studied marketing at the Community College of Aurora, CO. In 1990, she took a job as the Program Assistant with the Association of Operating Room Nurses in Denver, and later with NEO Data in Boulder.
She would relocate back to Minnesota, working for Network Systems, then Thiele Engineering, and then the Holiday Companies.
She was a talented seamstress. She sewed, did netting, and quilted. She even made wedding dresses for several years in her spare time.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman (Sally), Martin (Lucelle), and Marlyn (Helen); her sister-in-law, Helen; and a half-brother, Glenn (Adline) Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Anderson–Nelson; her last surviving brother, Waldo; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
