Our sweet, beautiful Mother, Henrietta Dietzel Farek was welcomed into heaven on May 28, 2025. She was born on March 25, 1938 to the late Howard and Noma Lee (Pantel) Dietzel. She attended Schroeder School and graduated from Patti Welder High School.
On December 16, 1956 she married the love of her life, Harold Lloyd Farek. They were together just a few weeks shy of their 60 year wedding anniversary.
Early in their marriage she worked at Dr. Gary Mueller's office as a receptionist and assistant. In 1980, she got her LVN certificate. Later she kept books for Dad's bulldozer business.
Henrietta was very active in her church and talented with a sewing machine. She enjoyed weekly quilting with the ladies group at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coletoville. She loved quilting and took great pride in putting together quilt tops for Lutheran World Relief and for years also personalized all the baptismal napkins for church baptisms. She made beautiful quilts for her family, one of which won the People's Choice Award at a local quilt show.
Mom, also known as Granna was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who love her immensely. Throughout her and Dad's life they found joy in entering their children and later grandchildren in parades. Costumes were sewn by Mom and we would ride through in anything Dad made like his miniature military jeep, pony carts, dog carts, a beautiful Christmas sleigh pulled by a pony or Dad's restored antique tractors. They always had a place for the grandkids to ride.
Mom was not afraid of hard work. She enjoyed cattle ranching, her flower beds and yard work. She especially enjoyed cutting the grass on her John Deere mower and shredding the pasture on her tractor.
Throughout her lifetime Mom and Dad had some great dogs, but her last dog Daisy held a very special place in her heart.
She is survived by 3 daughters Tammy Harrison (Mike) of Tulsa, OK; Cathy Sullins (Shane) of
