Henrietta De Los Reyes

Henrietta Carmen (Alvarez) DeLos Reyes made her departure on Friday January 31st, while at home surrounded by her loved ones in Vallejo.
Henrietta was born in Fresno, CA on July 15, 1928 to Crescencio and Felisa Alvarez. She graduated from Roosevelt high school and often spoke about her first job at a local record store where she listened to a variety of music. She later worked at a coffee shop where she met her husband Adan "Danny" when he came in with friends. The two later married and moved to the bay area.
The newlyweds first lived in Rodeo, where they made life long friendships within their community, and spent many nights dancing. This is also where they started their family. After a few years of hard work, they purchased their home in Vallejo and completed their family. Together they had 4 children; Dolores Capwell, Timothy De Los Reyes, Adan "Tinker" Reyes and Rebecca "Becky" De Los Reyes.
As the children got older, Henrietta started her career at Sears in Vallejo and transferred to the Fairfield location where she retired after 40+ years of service. During her time at Sears, she made great friendships and formed a Birthday lunch club that she proudly attended every month until her passing. She was also a long time member of the Guadalupanos Association based out of St. Basil's Catholic church.
Henrietta was the definition of a matriarch for her large family. She hosted every holiday, attended football games and often showed her love by cooking for her family. She'll be remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
Welcoming her with their dancing shoes ready are her parents, her husband Danny, her youngest daughter Becky, her brother Nicholas, her sisters: Rita, Adelaida (Yayo), Petra, Vera and Marcie, her brother in law Wilfred and many friends across the dance floor.
Her final song with us will start at Skyview Memorial, Sunday February 23rd at 3pm-7pm for her viewing. There will be a Rosary at 5pm before closing the viewing.
Her encore will be at St. Vincents for mass at 11am on Monday, February 24th, followed by her burial at All Souls.
