Henry Wallace Allen, age 84, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023. Wallace was born September 4, 1938 to the late Clay and Blon (Wood) Allen in Hiawassee, Georgia. Wallace was a member at Eastgate Church for many years. Wallace married his high school sweetheart Mrs. Shelby Jean in 1958 and together they started a family. He owned and operated Wallace Allen Hauling Contractor for over 50 years. He was a strong willed but very friendly man with a tender heart. Wallace loved his family and his church family and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shelby Jean (Byers) Allen; brother, Johnny Allen. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Greg) Roberts, Amy (William) Silvey, Tammy Allen; son, Jon (Renee) Allen; brother, Bill Allen; sisters, Shelia Eller, Carol Gilbert; grandchildren, Seth Allen, Jacob Allen, Jordan Roberts, Hannah Hough, Jessie Silvey; great-grandchildren, Cash Allen, Cade Allen, Sarah Kate Roberts, Samuel Roberts, Jensen Hough, Porter June Silvey; many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Eastgate Church from 3:00-4:00pm. A celebration of life will be Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 4:00pm at Eastgate Church with Rev. Greg Roberts officiating. Banister-Cooper is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Wallace Allen.
