Henry F. Brewer

Henry F. Brewer, 89, of Davenport, FL, passed away on August 6, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1936, in Beulah, MS, to Stockard and Ollie Horne Brewer. Henry moved to Florida in 1950 from Shaw, MS. He proudly served in the US Air Force for 21 years, achieving the rank of MSGT in the Strategic Air Command, retiring honorably in January 1975. Following his military service, he owned and operated Ridge Auto Electric Service for 21 years until his retirement in 1996. Henry was a member of the Masons for 50 years and enjoyed membership in the Airboat Club for 20 years. He was of the Christian faith.

Henry had a passion for airboating, fishing, gardening, firearms, and collecting antiques. A skilled builder, he constructed his home, a beach house, a playhouse, and more. Henry was also a private pilot and enjoyed camping. Known for his gentle and caring nature, he rarely raised his voice, cherished time with his family, and found peace on his porch overlooking the lake and wildlife.

He is preceded in death by his parents Stockard and Ollie, brothers James, George, Hobert, and Johnny Brewer, and sister Ginny Jones. Henry is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Beverly Buckshorn Brewer; daughters Paula (Kevin) Keith, Paulette (Bob) Allmon, and Heather Brewer; siblings Richard Brewer, Gene (Sharon) Brewer, Elsie Stewart, Eunice Ferris, Janie (Colin) Scarborough, Betty (Joe) Mann, Allie Peters, and Rachel Turman; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, and another one on the way.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. A graveside service with military honors will take place on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery.
