Henry Bridges Obituary
Henry Leon Bridges, age 77 of Evant, passed away on May 25, 2025, in Temple.
Leon was born on January 28, 1948, in St. Joseph, Louisiana to Lola Reese and Robert Bridges. Leon graduated from Ringgold High School in Louisiana in 1968 and shortly after was drafted in the United States Army. Leon served proudly in the infantry as a tunnel rat in Vietnam. Later in life he married Sandy and together they had a son, who they called Little Leon.
Leon enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and riding four wheelers. He loved to go boating on Lake Bistineau and Caddo Lake. Leon loved life and his family dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Jacob Bridges; eight brothers and sisters; and nephew, Wayne Bridges.
Leon is survived by his son, Leon Bridges; brother, Doyle Bridges; sister, Myrna Barbin; grandchildren, Coral Bridges, Shay Hammond, and Breanna Buchanan; great grandchildren; nieces, Ginger Woolley and Melanie Giacobbi; great nieces, Chloe, Samantha, and Kinsley, who he loved as his own; and many other nieces, nephews and family members.
