Mr. Cooper was a very good fighter in a time when boxing was a respected sport. These heavy weights today couldn't put his gloves on.

I was a huge fan of our 'enry. I was at the fight in London when he knocked down "Muhammed Ali". He was a gentleman and loved by all. I lived around the corner from him in Wembley before moving to America. He and his wife always had a nice word for everyone.

My sister called me from England yesterday to tell me he had passed, also that his twin brother died last year and his wife two years ago. I was sad to learn this.

He will be truly missed in England. When he commentated at the ring side or was interviewed after a fight - he would always say of his opponent or the fighter in the ring "he was a good boy".

My deepest sympathy to "enry's family, he will be truly missed.

I am so proud to have met him. He was a big man with a gentle heart and soul.

My deepest sympathy

I am David Edwards, son of the late George Edwards. I was so very sorry to hear of the death of both Henry and Albina. I saw the Cooper twins several times as a little boy, training in the Old Kent Road near my Grandfather's pub - William the Fourth. Albina and George came to my dads funeral and my wife and I met Henry and Albina at my dad's parties in Blackheath. They were both such genuinely nice people, as are the whole family. We met a few of the family again at my auntie Pat's funeral, a few years ago.

I have always followed Henry's appearances and thought him to be a great and natural personality.

Kindest regards to all the family.
David and Jenny Edwards.

I am sorry to hear about the death of such a talented boxing athlete. It takes a special person to win awards and break records in the boxing world. My prayers go out to the family and friends. Its comforting to know that "God is near to those that are broken at heart, And those who are crushed in the spirit he saves." Psalms 34:18
