Henry Charles "Punkin" Diamond Jr.

Henry Diamond Jr., known as "Punkin," passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the age of 88 at his home in Plaquemine. He was a native of Bayou Chene. Henry was a retired operator in the chemical industry and an Army Veteran.

Visitation will be at Bayou Plaquemine Baptist Church on Highway 75, on Wednesday, January 28th from 10 a.m. until time of religious service at 11 a.m. Services will be held at the church only, no graveside services will be held. Entombment will be at Grace Memorial Park.

Henry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Melba "Sweet" Medlen Diamond; three children, Steven Diamond and wife Brigette, Michael Diamond, Deborah Diamond Bardwell and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Casey Diamond, Christen Diamond, Cody Shannon, Cortnee Diamond, Jarret Diamond; great-grandchildren, Korbyn, Koltyn, Kinsley and Jacob; step-great-grandchild, Jack Jr.; sister, Antonia LeJeune and husband Francis; nephew, Randall LeJeune and wife.

Henry was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Marie Diamond Shannon; grandson, Jesse Lee Shannon; parents, Henry Sr and Frances Smith Diamond; nephew, Matthew LeJeune.

Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
