Henry A. "Tj" Gibson Jr.

Henry Anthony Gibson, Jr. was born on February 4, 1980 to the union of Henry A. Gibson, Sr. and Elaine (Wesley) Gibson in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lula Williams, nephew, Jeriah Cherry and cousin, Lekisha Ellis.
Henry was affectionately known as TJ by his family and friends. He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools and attended Southwest High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.
T J was united in marriage to the former Janene Sherman on June 2, 2012. He accepted the Lord Jesus at an early age and was baptized. He was a member of Encounter Church of Kansas City.
He departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Janene Gibson; daughter, Ta'Jah Gibson; father, Henry A. Gibson, Sr.; mother, Elaine Gibson; brother, Jason Gibson (Jaci); Chrishanna Cherry (Lamar); grandfathers, Bobby Williams, Sr. and L. V. Wesley; grandmother, Marietta Wheeler; mother-n-love, Mary Sherman; uncles, Bobby Williams, Jr. (Rolanda), Richard Wesley (Janiese), Kenneth Wesley, Raymond Wesley and Mark Wesley; aunt, Breea Williams; nephew, Jayvion Gibson, nieces, Jadelyn Gibson, Chrislynn Cherry and Janiyah Gibson, a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 2:00pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 1:00pm-2:00pm at the church. Entrusted to Lawrence A.
